Costume Design
Since landing in Los Angeles two-decades ago, Amelia trained with such widely esteemed Costume Designers as Colleen Atwood, Michael Wilkinson, Jacqueline West, Ruth Carter, Daniel Orlandi, Audrey Fisher, and Robert Blackman. Working side-by-side with such prolific Costume Designers, Amelia welcomes the challenge to explore a wide range of design aesthetics, concepts, and approaches in bringing visually diverse Characters to Camera.
As a Key Costume team member of such Oscar Nominated projects as the swinging 70s “American Hustle”, the Faerie~Tale Musical “Into the Woods”, and Marvel Super-Hero “Black Panther”, Amelia is proud of her contributions large and small to each screen moment. Amelia brought her acumen as Assistant Costume Designer to Oscar Nominated “Killers of the Flower Moon”; KOTFM was also Nominated for the Costume Designer’s Guild Award for Best Period Drama ~ Features Category.
In her own Costume Designs, Amelia seeks an in-depth collaboration with Actors, Directors and other Department Heads alike. Many of her Projects to date are grounded in Authentic Research and Rich Story-telling for Female-Driven and BiPoc Characters to peel away entrenched stereotypes in Cinema.
